A Stunning Quality And Extremely Rare 19th Century, Regency Period, Rosewood, Satinwood And Brass Floor Standing Corner Cupboard, Having Superbly Figured Top With Crossbanded Decoration And Brass Gadrooned Moulding To Edge, Over Attractive Panelled Door With Brass Strung Decoration, Flanked By Exceptional Egyptianesque Columns And Raised On Original Solid Brass Turned Feet.
This very unusual corner cupboard is of a design which we haven’t seen to often, but boasts real elegance and sophistication. The materials which have been used in its construction also show that it has clearly been made in a top workshop by an exceptionally skilled cabinet maker.
The brass details which include the moulded edges, the stringing and the remarkable feet are all excellent and the egyptian columns are of the best quality which we have seen on a item like this.
From a practical perspective the corner cupboard is of course perfect for those spaces in a room which no other item of furniture works for, with the added bonus of offering a large amount of additional storage space.
As with all items which we offer for sale this piece has been attended to in our workshops by our highly skilled antique furniture restorers and received a natural wax polish before being offered for sale, ensuring it is ready for immediate placement within the home.
