Object Description

Rene Lalique opalescent glass ‘Cigales’ box. This pattern features cicadas, the flying insects, whose charming, chirping sound fills the air in some hot regions. Moulded maker’s mark, ‘R LALIQUE’, and enscribed, ‘France’. Book reference: Marcilhac 44.

Object Condition

Good. Minor polishing to a quarter section of the underside rim of the lid. Area of minor polishing to the lower base rim.
