Object Description
An exceptional Ancient Roman blue glass bowl featuring iridescence to the surface and intricate ribbed decoration. The vessel is hemispherical in shape, curving evenly from a flat base to a thin, rounded rim, adorned with an encircling groove to the interior. Vertical protruding ribs neatly follow the curve, fading at the shoulder. A beautiful silvery, polychromatic iridescence features across the surface, alongside some earthy encrustations and scratches. Pinprick bubbles occur throughout the glass, otherwise the piece is exceptionally well preserved.
