Object Description

An excellent Roman jar blown from translucent, pale blue glass. The vessel features a globular body which tapers in to a constricted neck leading to a ‘collar’ rim. Three horizontal bands sit below the handles with a zig-zag pattern below. The jar sits upon a concave base and displays a pontil mark.
