Object Description
A Roman bronze trumpet brooch featuring an arched body with a flat head. A coiled spring extends outwards with part of the original pin visible below. A protrusion is displayed on each end of the spring and is enriched with three bands of silver granulation. A further three protrusions extend out from the head, each with three bands of silver granulation. A ridge of two rows of silver granulation and equally spaced larger granules encompasses the body along with a smaller version slightly down the body. A thin sheet of silver covers one side of the body. The foot is now missing as well as part of the catch plate.
