Object Description
A very fine Roman Cupid and dolphin attachment cast from bronze. Cupid is displayed in child form with his chubby features. The deity is in motion with both arms bent at the elbows, now missing the left forearm, and his head tilted to the side while leaning back. He rides a stylised dolphin facing downwards with its undulating tail pointing up. A protrusion sits below the dolphin’s mouth for attachment. This piece has been mounted on a custom-made stand, the measurements provided include the stand.
