Object Description
An Ancient Roman bronze horse spur featuring a prick to the neck and stud terminals. The spur features a U-shaped body, now slightly bent to the side, which tapers in towards the protruding stud terminals. These would have allowed for the spur to be attached to the rider’s shoe/boot. The neck is adorned with a single prick stud attachment. This spur would have been used across all regions of the Roman Empire, attached to the heel of the rider’s boot in warfare.
