Object Description
A fine Roman bronze bow brooch featuring two lions back to back displaying their heads, manes and forelimbs. They are connected by a thin band and the forearms form the crossbar and the foot. A stylised face further embellishes the foot from which part of the catch plate is still visible. Unfortunately, the pin is now missing.
Date: 1st – 2nd century AD
