Object Description
A very fine, small ancient Roman jug blown from dark amber glass. The vessel features a piriform body sitting upon a concave base. The shoulder gently tapers into a cylindrical neck leading to an everted, out-splayed rim with a small pinched spout. A single handle has been applied to the jug from the shoulder to the rim in the same coloured glass. Spiralling patterns decorate the body showing how the molten glass was twisted during the production process, giving a pleasant allure.
Please check measurements of this vessel.
