A Roman, blown-glass candlestick unguentarium with a bell-shaped body. Its long cylindrical neck culminates in a folded, flat rim. The vessel sits on a slightly concave base. It is intact, with weathering throughout and areas of iridescence.
Date: 1st-3rd century AD
From the collection of a London gentleman, bought in the 1970s and by descent.
Excellent, some iridescence visible to the surface.
