Object Description
An exquisite Roman gold and agate ring displaying a slightly oval shaped band with pointed, widened shoulders. The oval bezel holds an agate inset enriched with a male figure carving. The male is facing right and is holding a staff over his should possibly depicting the god Bacchus holding a thyrsus.
