Object Description
A very fine Ancient Roman bottle formed from pale blue glass featuring iridescence to the surface. The body of the vessel is large and globular in shape. A short cylindrical neck develops to a circular mouth with a wide, folded rim. The bottle rests upon a flat base. The glass displays a translucent, pale blue colouration and is enriched with a beautiful polychromatic iridescence across the body and base. Earthy encrustations, minor weathering, scratches and pinprick bubbles feature to the surface.
