Object Description
An ancient Roman redware cup from North Africa. The vessel features an ovoid body which slightly tapers in towards the flat circular base. At the top is a large out-splayed rim. A single handle has been applied from the shoulder to the middle of the body. Long, vertical incisions decorate the body. The mug has been wheel-spun, as evidenced from its horizontal striations around its lower body as well as the interior.
