Roman Olive-Green Glass Beaker

Object Description

A very fine Roman olive-green glass beaker featuring a slightly concave base. The sides rise up and slightly extend outwards to the wide, uneven mouth. The body is enriched with vertical somewhat curved, diagonal ridges created from a dip mould.

Date: Circa 2nd-3rd century AD

Object Condition

Very fine condition, some bubbles throughout the glass formed during the moulding process. Encrustation to the interior and exterior of the piece. Chip to the base.
