Object Description
A fine Ancient Roman translucent blown glass beaker featuring an open conical shape with a slightly flared rim. The beaker stands on a flattened circular rim with a slight dimple in the middle. It is possible that the rim of this vessel was originally left sharp, without further working or grinding, just the way they were cracked off the blowpipe. But, it has since been blunted with age and use. Very faint horizontal lines decorate the surface of the beaker. The glass displays a subtle olive-green hue and is covered with an intense green and pink iridescence.
