Object Description

Sailor’s Woolwork Embroidery Picture of a Ship surrounded by flags. Picture has a central panel depicting a three masted navy ship at sea. Flags in each corner – American, British, French and Italian (probably) flags. Framed in a maple veneer wooden frame with glass. Tacked to a wood stretcher frame with black paper backing.. Dimensions exclude the frame and slip.

Object Condition

Good. No holes, no stains, no stitch loss. A couple of small dirt patches under the glass. Frame slightly worn, but in good condition and ready to hang.
