Object Description
Sapphire and diamond ring. Centrally set with one cushion shape old cut natural no heat sapphire in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 1.30 carats, flanked by ten round old mine cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.30 carats, further adorned with two round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.02 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.32 carats, to an elongated cluster with polished edges, a linear pierced gallery and open backholing, the integrated shoulders with fluted detail tapering to a solid D-shape shank. Tested 18 carat white gold, circa 1920, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) report #5782-1257.
