Object Description
Circa 1780, rare original set of 12 (10 +2) Scottish George III mahogany dining chairs with Sheraton influence. The narrow reeded top rail is supported by 3 narrow splats with flared and foliate carved ends, leading on to outswept arms over chamfered supports on the carvers. With original moulded seat rails and square tapering supports with a H cross stretcher.
Size 90 cm high x 51 cm wide (carvers 61 cm wide) x 44 cm deep.
