Object Description
For sale is a fine set of 4 Regency pollard oak dining chairs, stamped W Huxley in reference to William Huxley of Liverpool. The back of each chair is profusely decorated with brass inlay above an acanthus carved horizontal splat, over satin upholstered seats, standing on carved and fluted legs. Each chair is in very good condition for its age remaining very sturdy and showing only slight wear. This set of chairs are a rare and fine example of early 19th century craftsmanship.
