Object Description
Circa 1890, set of 8 Chippendale style dining chairs, including 2 carvers. The foliate carved, serpentine shaped top rails are over a foliate-carved, pierced central splat and shaped carved uprights. There are shaped acanthus-carved arms to the armchairs and serpentine-fronted, stuffed seats recently reupholstered in quality pink material. This is all supported on cabriole legs with foliate carved knees and deeply carved ball and claw feet.
