Object Description
Circa 1880, set of 8 mahogany, ladder back dining chairs. With their shaped top rail with foliate carving on the top edges and central top splat with a small cartouche in the centre. Beneath this is 3 further cross splats and a drop-in curved seat pad. With their square, tapering, outswept back legs and square, tapering front legs united by an H stretcher. There are further stretchers between the two back legs providing extra stability.
