Object Description
Circa 1880. A George I style walnut side table, the makers label stamped on the drawer ‘Gill and Reigate, London’. The wonderful top with quarter matching burr walnut, herringbone inlay and broad banding, crossbanded fore-edge and a shaped frieze on all sides, the frieze conceals two drawers, each with small brass locks and oak liners. Standing on four elegant cabriole legs with carved shells on the knees with harebells beneath, extended C scrolls and finishing on well-formed ball and claw foot. The table has excellent colour and patination.
