Object Description
A striking Sidonian glass flask in an opaque white colour. The hexagonal vessel sits on a flat foot and is made in a tripartite mould, with a free blown cylindrical neck featuring an outward folded rim. The body features six rectangular niches, each framed at the sides with columns; complete with capital and base. The niches are surmounted with arch pediments and contain a vessel. Three types of vessels alternate with each other; the kantharos, lekythos, and amphora. Beneath this register is an egg-and-dart band. The glass features a stunning glossy iridescence. Although mostly opaque, some areas of the flask are translucent.
