Object Description
This delicate table clock features a surmounting design of silver foliate and flowers, which are mounted with precious stones. Held centrally within the silver flowers is the circular clock dial, which features a gilt border and black Roman numerals with gilt details on the white dial. The dial is signed ‘E. DREYFOUS, To Their Majesties, FRANCE’. The dial and flowers are mounted upon four agate columns; two square and two round, which stand upon a curved agate base. The clock is set on four ormolu toupie feet. The back of the clock is inscribed ‘FRANCE’, and bears the serial number 165853. The clock comes with the original fitted travel case.
