Small 18th Century Neoclassical Marquetry Commode or Chest of Drawers

Object Description

A small German Neoclassical marquetry commode with a rectangular top above two drawers each with three walnut panels and fine banding. With corresponding marquetry on sides and top, on square tapering legs. With brass mounts and a beautifully conserved honey-coloured patina. The warm and lustrous surface is evidence of long lasting tentative care.
