Object Description

A Good Quality Late 18th Century, George III Period, Oak Dresser Base, Of Relatively Small Proportion, Having Well Figured Top Over Three Frieze Drawers With Replacement Brass Plate Handles And Elegant Shaped Frieze, Raised On Four Square Legs.

An attractive dresser base which is a useful small size and therefore perfect for a wide ranging variety of spaces around the home, due to its narrow proportions amongst many other features. It is also of course very elegant and retains a good colour and patina as a consequence of many years hard graft and use, combined with love and care.

There is very little damage to speak of, certainly nothing visually unappealing, or which causes a structural problem and although the brass handles are replacements they are old, probably late 19th century themselves and actually sit very nicely on the piece indeed. They have clearly been in situ for a very long time.

As with all items which we offer for sale this dresser base has been inspected and attended to in our workshops by our trained antique furniture restorers, where it has recieved a natural wax polish to ensure it is ready for immediate placement within the home environment.
