Object Description

A Very Good Quality Late 18th Century, Georgian, Mahogany Hepplewhite Period Serpentine Sideboard, Of Unusual Diminutive Proportions, Retaining Exceptional Colour And Patina Throughout, With Well Figured Top Over Four Drawers, Including One With Bottle Divisions Having Replacement Brass Handles, Raised On Elegant Square Tapered Legs With Moulded Decoration Terminating On Original Spade Feet.

This beuatiful 18th century, georgian sideboard is the absolutely perfect size in terms of being big enough to be extremely functional and practical, whilst at the same time not being overpoweringly long and deep in a room like many which you will find.

Overall it retains a good colour and although the top has various old marks, scuffs and scrapes they are very much consumate with the age of a piece which has spent over 200 years of its life being heavily used.  Indeed it’s amazing to think that it is very much as fit for purpose today, as it was the day that it was made.

As with all our items this sideboard has been attended to in our worksops by our highly trained, skilled, traditional antique furniture restorers, before being offered for sale, meaning it has received any work required to ensure it is ready to place straight into the home, including a natural wax polish.
