This piece is a Persian carpet handmade in Zanjan, capital of the Zanjan province, which lays northwest of Tehran(the capital of Iran). The rug features traditional Tribal designs that derive from this area. The raw materials used are of the finest quality, with only the best hand-spun wool and cotton which have been dyed with organic dyeing techniques and delicately hand-knotted on looms by master craftsmen in the 1930s.
