Object Description
A small Ancient Roman bronze horse spur from the Germanic region featuring a prick to the neck and stud terminals. The spur features a short U-shaped body which slightly tapers in towards the protruding stud terminals. These would have allowed for the spur to be attached to the rider’s shoe/boot. The neck is adorned with a single prick stud displaying a conical shape. This spur would have been used across all regions of the Roman Empire and Germanic areas, attached to the heel of the rider’s boot in warfare.
