Object Description
A very fine set of three Georgian Imari pattern decorated porcelain cabinet plates by Spode and dating from around 1810. The small side plates are of rounded form with a raised flat shaped rim and central recess. The plate is very finely decorated in oriental style with a fenced garden scene with a bamboo style tree and flowering shrubs. The scene is painted in the Imari palette and set within a boldly decorated floral and patterned edge and richly embellished with gilding. The plates have red underglaze SPODE marks to the base along with the pattern number 967. A wonderful set of cabinet plates for display.
