Staffordshire Eagle and child spill vase

Object Description

Staffordshire spill vase which features a child asleep with an eagle above, resting on an oval base. Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated mainly to the front. Book reference,’Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835-1875′ Book 2, by A.& N. Harding, page 158, figure 2306.

Object Condition

Good. Small paint losses to the child’s eyes. Slight rubbing to gilt. RESTORATION. Remodelled left foot to child. Retouched paint losses to berries.
