Staffordshire Pearlware Cow Creamer

Object Description

Staffordshire Pottery Prattware cow creamer which features a cow, stood on a shaped base. Decorated ‘in the round’ – decoration to front and reverse. Hole with cover to cow’s back. Mouth forms a pouring hole.

Object Condition

Creamer: Good. Very slight wear and tiny flakes to base corners. KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the upper base. RESTORATION. Filled chip to tips of both horns. Retouched flake to one ear and base edge. Cover: Fair. RESTORATION: remodelled.
