Staffordshire Pearlware Greyhound Box and Cover

Object Description

Staffordshire Pottery pearlware box and cover which features a recumbent greyhound and a bird to the cover. Pictorial scenes in relief to the sides of the box. The whole, stood on a footed base. Decorated ‘in the round’ – decoration to front and reverse.

Object Condition

Good. Any damage, wear, original manufacturing defects (kiln effects) or restoration that may be present, is minor and not detracting.
