Staffordshire Pearlware sheep figure

Object Description

Staffordshire pearlware figure which features a sheep, recumbent on a shaped hollow base. Multi-coloured version. Decorated ‘in the round’ – decoration to front and reverse. Open bottomed.

Object Condition

Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the right front hoof, chest and right ear. RESTORATION. Remodelled left ear. Filled chip to right ear. Retouched flakes to base edge
