Staffordshire Pottery Figure of Mary and Jesus

Object Description

Staffordshire Pottery figure with a religious theme which features Mary holding the baby Jesus, stood on a circular base. White and gilt version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the underside.

Object Condition

Good. Slight rubbing to gilt. KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage lines to Mary’s right wrist, neck and right side. RESTORATION: Retouched paint losses to hair.
