Object Description

Staffordshire Pottery figure which features a King Charles Spaniel, stood on a leaf embellished base. Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Flatback, decorated only to the front. Vent hole to the underside. Book reference ,’A-Z of Staffordshire Dogs, A Potted History’, by Clive Mason Pope, page 75, figure 2.

Object Condition

Good. A few minor paint losses to one leaf. RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched hairline to front left leg. Filled chip to base edge on reverse. Filled chip to front left corner. Retouched black to nose and pupils.
