Object Description

Staffordshire Pottery pearlware figure with a classical theme which features a women holding a cornucopia full of fruit, stood on a square base. Painted base line. Decorated ‘in the round’ – decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the underside. This piece represents Ops, Goddess of plenty.

Object Condition

Good. Hairline to her right arm. Minor chips and flakes to base. Paint loss to fruit. KILN EFFECTS: shallow firing crack to her left hand. RESTORATION. Retouched paint losses to skirt and sleeves.
