Staffordshire Prattware Cow Creamer

Object Description

Staffordshire Pottery Prattware cow creamer which features a cow and milkmaid, stood on a shaped base. Decorated ‘in the round’ – decoration to front and reverse. Hole with cover to cow’s back. Mouth forms a pouring hole.

Object Condition

Creamer: Generally good. Tiny chip to lower base edge. Slight wear to base corners. RESTORATION. Tail reglued and joins retouched. One horn and ear, and girl’s right arm remodelled. Stabilised and retouched hairline to both rear hoofs. Filled chips to base. Cover: Fair. RESTORATION. Remodelled.
