Staffordshire Prattware recumbent ram figure

Object Description

Staffordshire Prattware figural which features a ram, recumbent on an oval hollow base. Decorated ‘in the round’ – decoration to front and reverse. Book reference not found.

Object Condition

Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: small firing pits to the ram’s back; a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the front of base and left front hoof. RESTORATION: Stabilised and retouched crack to base. Filled chips to base edge. Retouched flakes to nose and right horn.
