Object Description
This super Provincial Queen Anne Britannia silver mug was made in Exeter in 1708 by John Elston and measures 3 9/16 inches tall by 4 inches from the handle across and is 2 5/8 inches in dia across the top and 3 3/16 inches across the base, it has a scrolled and reeded strap handle and a ribbed shirt to the base with a band of engraving either side of the fluting and above that is a raised dash and dot band between two bands of engraving and it is fully hallmarked to the side and is in excellent condition weighing 3.85 ounces or 120 grams.
