Object Description
This very nice flat chased George II silver bullet teapot was made in London in 1743 by Benjamin West and measures 8.5 inches handle to spout by 4.25 inches wide and is 5 inches tall, it has a scrolled wooden handle held by 2 cast terminals, a cast spout with acanthus leaf detailing and beautiful engraving to the top and the hinged lid, it has a baluster finial and is fully and clearly hallmarked under the base, a lovely pot in very good condition weighing 13.05 ounces or 402 grams.
