Object Description
This lovely pair of crested George III silver wine coasters were made in London in 1780 by William Plummer and measure 4.75 inches in dia by 1.5 inches deep, they have mahogany bottoms with old baise to the underside and the sides are beautifully pierced and engraved with undulating leaves and they have a band of bright cut engraving above ad below this with a beaded border to the top, they have a cartouche bearing a fleur de lys crest and are fully hallmarked to the base rim, a lovely pair of coasters.
