An exceptional quality early 20th century five piece gilt metal writing set in the Empire style and in original case.
This highly decorative set consists of a glass inkwell, blotter, wax seal, letter opener and pen all with gilt metal Empire style laurel wreath and Classical figure decoration.
The items rest on a green velvet liner all encased in original pale green faux shagreen case with silk liner to the inside lid with ‘Le Lorrain’ Bruxelles stamp.
This writing set is in excellent condition for age and can go straight into a home, office or collection.
