Object Description
A superb Regency (circa 1830) rosewood and inlaid brass desk stand or inkstand in excellent original condition.
This piece consists of a rosewood desk stand intricately inlaid with brass ‘boulle’ decoration to the top and also to all sides.
The brass handle is very ornate and to each side of this are two original heavy cut-glass inkwells with brass inlaid tops with two pen trays to either side, making this ideal for use on a partners desk but equally would be a great addition to any desk or writing table.
This leads to a solid brass edge, below a useful drawer, also profusely inlaid with the brass work with a decorative brass knob, all supported on four very ornate brass feet.
This desk stand is in excellent original condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home or office.
