Object Description
This superb quality George II Britannia silver square salver was made in London in 1730 by master silver smith Paul De Lamerie and measures almost 5.75 inches square, it has shaped corners and unusually styled cast scrolled feet. It is fully and clearly hallmarked to the reverse and is in very good condition weighing 6.50 ounces or 202 grams, a nice piece of silver from arguably the finest silver smith who ever lived.
