Object Description

An early 19th century maritime painting, oil on panel, in carved giltwood frame, by Thomas Binks(1799-1852). The subject being “The Hull Roads” with a nice mix of sail and early steam ships, it is signed and dated Thomas Binks 1827 in the bottom right hand corner.

Object Literature

Binks also has paintings in the Ferens Art Gallery , Hull and the Royal Maritime in Greenwich, London.

Object Condition

In lovely condition throughout, the panel size is 23 x 16 ins.
