Thomas Sergent Majolica wall platter which features highly detailed models of a crayfish, shellfish, fish, an eel, a frog, a crab, a lizard and a variety of leaves. Colouration: green, blue, brown, are predominant. The piece bears maker’s marks for the Thomas Sergent pottery.
Good. Patches of scratching to the interior. KILN EFFECTS: firing crack (stable) to the reverse, not present on the front of the piece. Firing crack to leaf. RESTORATION. Filled chip to the rim. Two of the fishes dorsal fins reglued and join retouched. One of the crayfish legs remodelled. Filled chip to crayfish mouth
