Set with eight round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.40 carats, further set with thirteen rectangular baguette cut natural unenhanced rubies in open back rubover channel settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.00 carats, to an bold openwork oval yellow gold ‘buckle’ design, with gem-set ‘fastenings’, polished edges and fancy shaped backholing, flanked by broad curving trumpeting shoulders flowing through to a solid flat tapering shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, signed ‘TIFFANY & CO’, engraved ‘B.K.G. 1946′, indistinctly numbered ’14’, American, circa 1945.
