Object Description
Tiffany & Co. sapphire and diamond ring. Centrally set with a rectangular step cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.90 carats, flanked by two round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.70 carats, further set with eight rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover with a combined weight of 0.40 carats, decorated further with sixteen round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.35 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.45 carats, to a stylish symmetrical rectangular cluster featuring polished borders, a pierced linear gallery and geometric open backholing, the raised open trumpeting shoulders curve to a solid squared shank. Marked platinum and iridium, signed ‘TIFFANY & CO.’, American, circa 1930, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80261-48 and Gubelin Gemmological report #20060098.
