Object History

Handwoven with fine, hand-spun wools and cotton in persia in the 1940s in Quchan (Ghoochan), a city in and capital of Quchan County, in Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran.
The colours come from natural dyeing techniques which have been used for generations. Hand-knotted densely, making them hardwearing and so suitable for any high traffic interior, this piece is sure to last for decades if cared for correctly.
